Brian McDonald, a retired physician and Navy medical officer, will be giving a presentation on Sunday, July 18th after the 9:30 worship service in the fellowship hall. Brian and his wife LaNor, who adopted twin girls from the Philippines in 1985, have partnered with missionary groups both in the Philippines and here in the U.S. to provide healthcare and resources to undocumented, minor children and their families. Most recently, Brian has been involved in the ELCA AMMPARO program, and was part of a group from the SE MN Synod that participated in a Border Immersion visit at the Mexican border in January 2020.
Please plan to join us for coffee fellowship after the 9:30 outdoor service to learn more about the AMMPARO, the Refugee Resettlement Services of Lutheran Social Services and other ways our Christian community is serving our brothers and sisters in Christ. We’ll have coffee and goodies and good fellowship!
