As our weekly adult education comes to an end for the summer, the congregation would like to thank those of you who organize and coordinate all of the topics and presenters! We would also like to thank those of you who attend PACE, without your interest and support this program wouldn’t be possible. And last but not least, thank you to all who volunteer to supply/serve cookies & coffee and clean up each week.
A volunteer service program providing handyman services to neighbors in need in our community (including odd jobs, minor home repairs/maintenance, etc.) Call the office if you would like to be on the volunteer list or have a job you need help with. We are looking for volunteers to water the flower baskets starting the week of Memorial Day. We will need to water them into mid-September. Please volunteer to water the plants for 1-2 weeks at a time. [A sign up sheet is outside the office or please contact Jessica in the office [732-7303 / email@example.com] if you can help.]
We are looking for a new volunteer coordinator to help organize a crew for the Habitat for Humanity project this summer. Each year a group of members (around 5-10 people) teams up with other local church volunteers to lend a hand, or provide a meal.
This summer URLC is scheduled to help with the house build on Wednesday June 4th(assignment: seal ICF walls, drain tile) and Wednesday October 1st(assignment: install house number, mailbox, closet shelving, bath mirror, and towel bars). Wednesday work hours are 4-8pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this project please contact our office and we can add your name to the list.
Our thanks again to everyone that is helping with our garden this summer. You are so very appreciated. This year we have two new garden boxes, and some of the planting has already started.
